Costume Society Scotland was founded in 1964. The society offers a season of varied talks about fashion, costume, textiles, accessories and related subjects such as conservation. Talks take place between October and April.
Outwith this programme there is an annual June Outing and visits to exhibitions and events.
The Society publishes a monthly programme of events that are taking place both locally and nationally. Both members and non-members are invited to contribute material to the annual bulletin which is distributed at the beginning of each season. The venue is wheelchair accessible and has the technology to be able to zoom talks to members who prefer not to attend in person.
The Society is run on an informal basis and is very welcoming.
