Living Spring Wreaths
Join us at Central Scotland School of Craft for a half day Living Spring Wreaths workshop and learn the art of contemporary seasonal floristry from local florist Emma Gemmel.
About Living Spring Wreaths
These living growing arrangements will brighten up your front door for the Spring season, as we inch towards towards summer and see nature coming to life all around us.
We’ll discuss different base options and select materials from seasonal bulbs, plants, twigs and foliages.
We’ll walk through step by step – how to wire a moss ring to create the base for your design, how to best select which plants and flowers will work well for your design, and how to prepare these materials to help them thrive over the coming weeks. We’ll show you how to secure the materials to the base in your own unique design and then finish with ribbon as desired. At the end of an informal and relaxed day of floristry you’ll leave not only with your beautiful finished wreath, but also with the knowledge and confidence to create more floral designs at home.
