Level: Intermediate – some enamel experience would be useful for this workshop.
In this workshop you will learn all about the exciting technique of enamelling with decals. You will learn how to fire the enamel in layers and use pre-made digital decals to create a beautiful piece of art, which you can then transform into a pair of earrings or a pendant. During the one day class you’ll also be provided the information you need to print your own digital enamel decals.
What to bring: We’ll provide all the things you will need to start making amazing enamel decal pieces including tools and copper. However, if you want to make a particularly large piece or additional pieces, extra materials can be purchased directly from the CSSJ.
Please bring along glasses if you need them and wear appropriate, warm clothing for a studio environment including closed-toe shoes. If you have long hair please wear it up.
Lunch is not provided and due to working with enamel powders you cannot eat in the studio. We can advise you of nearby places on the High Street for tasty treats.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
