Earthly concerns melt away as Vaughan Williams’ Lark soars overhead (in an arrangement for choir and solo violin) and Israfel, the Angel of Music, presents us with a shimmering vision of the supernatural in O’Regan’s profoundly moving The Ecstasies Above.
