About French Link Stitch Bookbinding
This book opens up nice and flat making for a great sketchbook or journal, with lots of opportunity to personalise. We’ll also explore how to include envelopes and pockets into your book – making it a great book structure for sketching, notes and keeping treasures.
Over the course of the day we will make an A6 size landscape or portrait book but I will share how to scale up and down should you want to create the same style of book in different shapes and sizes at home.
This fun filled French Link Stitch Bookbinding workshop is an ideal opportunity for both beginners and keen bookbinders to learn a new range of creative bookbinding techniques. You will leave the workshop with a finished book that makes for a great sketchbook, gardening journal and/or notebook, as well as the skills and confidence to carry on bookbinding at home. After the workshop we will send on links to Cass’s video tutorials to help you on your binding journey. And if you’re hooked on books (you will be) Cass will have kits available to purchase for £12 at the end of the workshop.
All materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring along any of your own decorative papers to include in your book. This class comes with access to comprehensive video instructions should you want to make more books at home (they make great gifts).
