This one-day course is a great introduction to green woodworking methods to make furniture. You'll learn how to use hazel round wood to make a rustic stool, using traditional tools and techniques. You'll get to use a shavehorse, drawknife, hand drills and tenon cutters to make the different components, and then be guided through the process of cutting, drilling and assembling the frame, and weaving the stool seat. At the end of the workshop you'll have a stool to be proud of and some new skills!
You'll arrive on site by 10am, and be directed to workshop. From there, one of our experienced trainers will lead you through the workshop. All materials and tools are provided. The day finishes by 4pm. Please bring lunch - you are welcome to cook over our campfire. We provide tea and coffee and snacks!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
