A monthly group where we regularly bring in professions working across various careers (decided by group members) to inspire young people, share the realities of their work, and give advice and guidance. These sessions are a great opportunity to meet new people, learn something new, expand your employability skills and knowledge, try a new activity, and have fun.
This month, we welcome the incredible Hugh MacDonald: a local, well know football journalist.
“Hugh MacDonald has been a journalist for more than 50 years. He was chief sub editor, literary editor and chief sports writer during his career. His work has also appeared in the Daily Mail, the Guardian and Nutmeg and Slate magazines . He regularly broadcasts on BBC and plz soccer.”
This session would be brilliant for anyone interested in journalism, sport, football, or just interested in learning more about media, as Hugh also features in several documentaries (including Alex Ferguson's recent documentary), as well as podcasts, TV, and YouTube shows.
Suitable for ages 13-25. Sign up essential.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
