Liv Dawn is a folk-pop singer-songwriter from Loch Lomond, Scotland. Drawing inspiration from the stunning landscapes of her homeland, Liv creates songs that bring a sense of peace and connection to nature. Her lyrics, much like storytelling, captures the everyday experiences and emotions of life and relationships.
Having performed at acclaimed Scottish venues such as the Barrowland Ballroom, Saint Luke’s and King Tut’s, Liv captivates her audience through her powerful vocals and intimate performances.
Liv was selected as a finalist in the prestigious BBC Radio Scotland Singer-Songwriter of the Year Award and has since played sold-out headline shows and festivals including Edinburgh Fringe, Skye Live, HowTheLightGetsIn, Belladrum and Eden Festival. She was also crowned Leigh Folk Festival’s Open Mic Competition Winner as well as ‘Acoustic Act of the Year’ runner-up for the Weekender Awards.
In Summer 2023, Liv released her debut EP Beautiful Daydream which received coverage from media including Amazing Radio, BBC Radio Scotland, The Scotsman, Northern Exposure Magazine, SNACK Mag and The Skinny Magazine. Boasting a wonderland of acoustic sound, Beautiful Daydream holds five highly personal tracks and explores growing up, falling in and out of love, chasing dreams and finding happiness.
“An impressive debut which should appeal to a mainstream audience as well as a more traditional folk one. For fans of Katie Melua or Eva Cassidy, Liv Dawn is a name you will likely continue to hear for a while yet.” – Northern Exposure Magazine
In 2024, Liv had a busy year with numerous performances across e country. She started the year by performing at Celtic Connections and later had the incredible opportunity to support Tide Lines at the Barrowland Ballroom. Liv then joined Tide Lines on their Scottish ‘Homeward Bound’ tour, supported Skerryvore at Stirling Albert Halls and performed at Edinburgh’s Hogmanay.
In January 2025, Liv released a live EP, Daydreams, recorded with her band at Waterfront Studios, which captures the energy of her live performance. Liv is now working on a new EP, set for release in the summer of 2025, which blends folk, rock, and country influences with her core singer-songwriter sound.
