This is no ordinary event — we’ve got a line-up of literary “big-hitters” who promise to spark lively discussions and deliver seriously thought-provoking insights:
Billy Kay – the inimitable writer and broadcaster whose voice has carried the story of Scotland around the globe.
Professor Richard Oram (University of Stirling) – leading historian with deep insights into Scotland’s past and environment.
Professor Alan Riach (University of Glasgow) – celebrated poet, critic, and champion of Scottish culture.
Dr. Lachlan Munro – scholar with a passion for bringing stories to life.
Jamie Jauncey – great grand-nephew of Robert Bontine Cunninghame Graham, ready to share personal reflections and legacy.
And to crown the day…
We’re hosting the UK Mainland Premiere of Glenda Rome’s film 'Expressing the Earth' — a perfect blend of art, poetry, and Scotland’s enduring spirit.
It’s set to be a celebration of voices that define, challenge, and enrich our cultural landscape. Expect ideas to be stretched, hearts to be stirred, and conversations to continue long after the final applause.
And don’t forget — the Black Bull Inn is right across the courtyard, ready to serve up hearty meals and fine refreshments to keep the conversations flowing.
So make a real effort to join us — bring a friend, bring your curiosity, and be part of this unforgettable day.
Tickets are available online - wegottickets.com/event/677613 or at the door - and it’s only £5 for the entire day! It’s a gift!
