Author and cultural historian Dr Tom Christie will be giving a Christmas lecture about his book "A Seriously Groovy Movie Christmas" - an entertaining account of the surreal and often hilarious festive cinema of the 1960s and 1970s. Tom is the author of a four-volume history of Christmas cinema in the twentieth century (2016-2024), which spans the 1940s to the 1990s. This illustrated presentation will be taking place at King Street Aparthotel, 45 King Street, Stirling on Friday 12th December at 2pm, with all proceeds from tickets being donated directly to forthgiving - a local philanthropic charity supporting people living in crisis throughout the Forth Valley area (Scottish Charity Number SC009124). There will be a Q&A session following the presentation, and copies of Tom's books will be available for sale and personalisation after the event.
