Renowned "great songsmith" (Celtic Connections) Arria will be performing at this month’s Burns Supper on Saturday 24th January, 7pm–10pm at The Rock Bottom - a vibrant new craft beer hall and live music venue in The Arcade at Callendar Riggs, Falkirk.

The Rock Bottom, the official taproom of Not That California Brewing Company, has become known locally as a creative, welcoming space for music and community events, with a wide selection of beers and a focus on live performances.

The evening will include songs from Jaggy Thistle — a collection written for and dedicated to Falkirk — alongside a traditional Scottish folk tale and Burns songs reimagined within gentle contemporary soundscapes. Arria performs on guitar, piano, and subtle synth textures, creating a calm and intimate listening experience rooted in local place and Scottish tradition.

Arria is a Scottish songwriter and sound-artist whose work blends song, poetry, and gentle electronics into intimate, reflective performances. Drawing on folk traditions, spoken word, and ambient textures, her music creates slow, spacious listening experiences rooted in landscape, memory, and story.

Her current project, Jaggy Thistle, is a collection of songs written for and dedicated to Falkirk, exploring a sense of place through guitar, piano, voice, and subtle synth layers. Alongside her own material, Arria weaves traditional folk elements and re-imagined Burns songs into her sets, creating a quiet conversation between old words and new sound.

Arria’s performances are less about making statements and more about creating space — for listening, for reflection, and for connection through sound.
