Go Forth Stirling is launching regular drop-in sessions to give city centre business owners the chance to meet the team and talk directly about any trading issues they face.
All companies based within Stirling’s Business Improvement District area are invited to monthly meetings at the Made in Stirling hub on King Street.
The first session takes place on Tuesday May 14 from 10am until 3pm and will be led by Go Forth Stirling Manager Mags Fenner.
She said: “We want to make sure we are accessible to all city centre business owners and give them a regular opportunity to come and talk to us face to face.
“This is the chance to ask questions, tell us about any trading issues they need help with and discuss any ideas they may have for improving Stirling’s city centre.
“It’s also an opportunity for us to keep businesses informed about the work Go Forth Stirling are doing and for people to meet myself and the Go Forth team.”
The sessions will be held on the second Tuesday of every month - with the next one taking place on June 11 – and all city centre businesses are invited to attend.
In addition to creating a forum for discussion, Ms Fenner plans to introduce themed activities at future sessions such as workshops and talks from business leaders.
Go Forth Stirling is also setting up a regular newsletter – both online and in print form – so business owners are kept informed of activities being undertaken by the BID.
Ms Fenner added: “We’re very conscious of the need to ensure good communication with the businesses we represent as well as with other stakeholders and members of the public.
“We plan to achieve that through our drop-in sessions and newsletters, and I hope business owners will take the chance to come along and chat about how we can work together to drive footfall and bring more people into Stirling.”
Ms Fenner joined Go Forth Stirling, which represents 394 local businesses, as Manager last month.
The team also includes Stirling businessman Tony I’Anson, who is working on specific projects and events, and Communications/Administration Officer Peta Alexander.
The BID was set up in September 2017 with the key objective of delivering projects and services which improve Stirling’s trading environment to benefit businesses, shoppers and visitors.
