About Screen Printed Tote Bag Workshop
Join us for a colour filled day of screen printing and stand out from the other shoppers when you use your stunning tote bag over and over again.
You’ll be introduced to a variety of immediate, fun and experimental processes for textile printing, using open mesh and prepared screens with water based pigment inks on cotton . Learn how to mix opaque and transparent colour, create colour blends and explore painterly mono printing.
You can bring your own drawings, sketches and images and we’ll chat through the appropriateness of image and how best to interpret it into a design for print. You’ll plan and cut your own designs to apply to your tote bag using paper stencils, with the option of adding a bit of extra bling using decorative metallic highlights.
You’ll leave with a wonderfully designed cotton Tote bag, but also a collection of cotton fabric samples ready to be used in other projects.
No previous experience required, this class is a great introduction for crafting newbies, but also a great skill for experienced crafters to add tot heir repertoire.
