Use festive papers and scaled down patterns to create a set of tiny garments that can adorn your tree, or be strung up as a quirky alternative to festive bunting. Once you’ve practised a few different styles in paper we’ll move on to hand stitch your favourite design. If you are zero-waste curious, and want to know more about this system of making that encourages sustainable making in the fashion industry, this is a really fun course to get an overview of this eco-friendly methodology. It’s also great if you just want to make some super cute festive decorations!
Outcomes:
- A set of paper samples of different zero waste garments to use as baubles or bunting
- A mini zero waste garment in your choice of fabrics
- An overview of how to make clothes that consider the impact on people and the planet
- Basic construction skills for sewing zero waste garments
