We’ll start the day with some sketching and foraging in the studio grounds before making a set of reusable botanical stamps inspired by our findings. Using our unique stamps, we’ll create a collection of decorative papers, working with layering and stencils to create a sense of depth and movement.
After a well earned lunch break Cass will introduce a range of book structures and guide you in transforming a selection of your printed papers into a number of usable journals and Artists’ Books. As this is a small group workshop there will be lots of opportunity to tailor the bookbinding to fit your work and what interests you most.
You’ll leave the workshop with a set of reusable stamps, new bookbinding skills and a collection of beautiful books to use and display. Cass will also have a range of tools available to buy at the end of the class so that you can continue your book making journey at home.
Stirling locals may be eligible for a free place on this workshop, please see the 'Subsidised Places' section of our website for full details.
