We'll use a charcoal-powered forge (using charcoal we make on site) and handpowered bellows to create the heat we need, and you'll learn some some key basic techniques, including lighting and maintaining the fire, tapering, bending, and twisting. Throughout the day, you'll make a poker and a hook, which you'll get to take away with you, along with the skills you've learned.
You'll arrive on site by 10am, and be directed to workshop. From there, one of our experienced trainers will lead you through the workshop. All metal and tools are provided. The day finishes by 4pm. Please bring lunch - you are welcome to cook over our campfire. We provide tea and coffee and snacks!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
