Have you wondered about the process behind glass ornaments? Would you like the chance to create your own unique pieces in glass? Join Shonah in this workshop during her exhibition at Made in Stirling.
During this course you will learn about fused glass and how you can design and assemble your fused glass pieces, as well as a variety of glass fusing techniques suited for your desing concept. Shonah will bring all materials and examples you can base your designs on.
During this course you can make:
2 tea light holders
2 window hangers (3cm x 15cm)
1 frameable art piece (9cm x 9cm)
2 drink stirrers
No experience necessary, all glass and equipment will be supplied and all the items that you make will be yours to keep. You will be shown how to use small pieces of glass, crushed glass, stringers and glass paints to create your design. Your glass creations will then be fired in a kiln which will take place offsite.
After the day course, Shonah will take your pieces home to fire them in her kiln and bring back to the hub for collection. Participants will be notified when pieces are ready for collection.
This course comes with a prepared lunch, so please make sure to let us know of any dietary requirements you might have.
