As filming for the new Avengers movie is in planning just over an hour’s drive away in Glencoe, Argyll Holidays is letting kids get a slice of superhero action with a weekend packed full of super-powers and fun.
From 2-5 June, families can enjoy a Superhero weekend at the holiday operator’s Drimsynie Holiday Village in Lochgoilhead and Hunters Quay Holiday Village in Dunoon.
As well as dressing up in their favourite superhero costumes, families will have the chance to take part in free activities including Archery with Hawkeye, Go Climb with Spider Man and The Incredible Hulk introduces Body Zorbs.
There will also be cape making workshops for kids so they can become their own caped crusader, plus a superhero themed disco to keep them entertained during the evenings, and gameshows crowning the ultimate Superhero.
The holiday park has even given their menu a superhero makeover with special dishes on offer. Every child will also receive a free superhero goody bag to keep them amused.
With a backdrop of some of Scotland’s most beautiful and rustic scenery, it’s easy to see why Disney chose to film Avengers Infinity War in the Scottish Highlands. With its views of the Arrochar Alps and Loch Goil, Drimsynie could spark the imagination of any budding superhero as they picture themselves fighting off evil villains. Likewise, the views over Loch Long over to the Argyll Mountains from Hunters Quay are perfect for dreaming of flying through the skies to save the world.
Accommodation will be available across both caravans and executive lodges. With two bedrooms, a TV in the lounge and master bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a balcony with outdoor furniture, plus a luxury outdoor hot tub, the Osprey Premier Hot Tub Lodge, which sleeps five, is the perfect place for little heroes to rest.
Staying in a caravan is an adventure in itself for children and Argyll Holiday’s Premier Caravans give an extra touch of luxury. The three bedroom caravans sleep up to six with a well-equipped kitchen, modern lounge and a balcony to look out for any fellow superheroes as they soar over the Argyll skies.
Mini heroes can also make the most of the facilities at both holiday parks including all weather leisure complex with a swimming pool, a fun centre with arcade machines and soft play. And by quoting ‘superhero’ when they call to book guests will be offered 20% off themed Go Active activities.
Prices for a two-night stay at Argyll Holidays superhero weekend start from £255 for a caravan and £285 for a lodge. Hot tub lodges start from £465. Prices include three night’s accommodation plus 20% off Go Active sessions when quoting ‘Superhero.’
