Caleb and Blake Miller (8 & 7), Ellsie McGill (9), Daniel Kidd (11), Ryan Callan (5) and Kesiana Bajrami (13), all submitted mini films sharing their love for the Carnival and why they should be chosen as ambassadors.
The lucky six will now have unlimited, free access to the Carnival for them and three friends or family members in return for sharing their experience and top tips on the IRN-BRU Carnival’s social media channels.
Greg Cherry, Managing Director of QD Events, organiser of the event, said: “The IRN-BRU Carnival is one of Glasgow’s most iconic holiday events, so who better to open it than these six young Glaswegians. We received some amazing entries to our ambassador appeal and it was a tough decision but we loved the enthusiasm and fun-loving nature of our chosen six and can’t wait to see what exciting things they get up to.”
With over 60 rides and attractions, the IRN-BRU Carnival has something for everyone. Visitors can test their bravery on this year’s selection of thrilling rides with new additions including the Airmaxx 360 and Wild Mouse Rollercoaster – guaranteed to excite even the biggest daredevils. Firm family favourites, The Sticky Wall and Carousel, also return for another year.
There will also be over 20 classic game stalls and activities – ranging from arcade games to basketball and Whac-A-Minion – along with an inflatable play paradise for the little ones to enjoy.
The IRN-BRU Carnival returns to the SEC, Glasgow on Thursday 20 December 2018 until Sunday 13 January 2019*
Online tickets are available now from £12 for general admission and £8 for concessions. All general admission tickets will include entry as well as five vouchers per person, which can be used on all rides, inflatable play and selected stalls (some stalls are cash taking). Book tickets in advance for easy entry into the hall**.
