Level: Beginners
We’ll look at different techniques to texture and form your metal using our hammers & pliers. Experiment first in copper, then when you’ve found your style, we’ll move on to assembling your earrings in silver. We’ll use soldering techniques to create a set of small, simple hoops for the day and statement hoops for later. This is an energetic and fun workshop that is perfect for beginners!
What to bring:
We’ll provide everything you’ll need for your silver hoops workshop, including tools and silver.
Please bring along glasses if you need them
Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for a studio environment, including closed-toe shoes. Why not order yourself a CSSJ apron to make you feel right at home in your workshop?
If you have long hair, please wear it up
If you are the type of person who prefers to arm yourself with some knowledge ahead of time, we have prepared a Pinterest page filled with jewellery-making information and inspiration just for you!
Tea, coffee and biscuits are supplied. Please bring your own lunch to eat at your desk, or we can advise you of nearby places to eat
